Stage 1 of 7

Days 1–3: Windhoek to Sossusvlei – Into the Heart of the Desert

Your journey begins in Windhoek, where you collect your vehicle and set off south across wide-open plains and distant mountain ranges. As you approach the Namib Desert, the colours shift to deep reds and ochres — a landscape sculpted by wind and time. You’ll spend two nights at Kulala Desert Lodge, set right at the edge of the dunes with private access into Sossusvlei. From your veranda, the desert stretches endlessly before you, glowing under the morning sun. Spend your days exploring the iconic dunes and salt pans, and your evenings beneath a canopy of stars.

Days 4–5: Namib Desert to Swakopmund – From Sand to Sea

Leaving the desert, you travel across gravel plains and through the dramatic Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons before reaching the coast. The air cools, the scent of the ocean replaces desert dust — you’ve arrived in Swakopmund. Stay at Desert Breeze, perched on the banks of the Swakop River with sweeping views of the dunes. Its colourful, modern chalets provide a striking contrast to the stark desert beyond. Swakopmund offers a taste of civilization again: a coastal town full of charm, adventure and good food. Days 6–7: Damaraland – Rocks, Rhinos and Timeless Landscapes

You head north into the heart of Damaraland, where ancient rock formations rise from vast plains. Spend your nights camping beneath the stars, surrounded by granite domes glowing pink at sunset and valleys filled with the scent of acacia. Here you can explore Twyfelfontein’s famous rock engravings, visit local Himba communities, or simply soak in the stillness of the desert. Damaraland’s silence and beauty linger long after you leave.

Days 8–10: Hoanib River & Skeleton Coast – Wilderness Without Boundaries

From Damaraland, you leave your vehicle behind and take a scenic flight into one of the most remote and untouched regions of Namibia — the Hoanib River and the Skeleton Coast. The aerial view alone is breathtaking: endless dunes, dry riverbeds winding through desert mountains, and the distant shimmer of the Atlantic. Your base for the next three nights is Skeleton Coast Camp, a secluded haven that blends seamlessly into its surroundings of sand and stone. Days are spent exploring this extraordinary wilderness by open vehicle, following dry river courses where desert-adapted elephants, lions, giraffes, and oryx roam in search of water.

Days 11–12: Etosha National Park – Salt Pans and Safari Adventures

From the coast you turn inland to the wildlife-rich plains of Etosha. Spend your nights in classic bush camps inside and just outside the park, where evenings are filled with the sounds of the wild and skies blaze with stars. During the day, explore Etosha’s endless salt pans and drive from one waterhole to the next — every stop revealing new life. Elephants, lions, giraffes, and herds of zebra define this landscape of contrasts and abundance.

Days 13–16: Caprivi & Chobe – Rivers, Forests and Elephant Herds

Heading northeast, you reach the lush waterways of the Caprivi Strip. At Ngepi, life flows with the Okavango River — quirky, laid-back, and full of character. Continue to Nambwa Lodge, tucked deep within Bwabwata National Park, where raised wooden walkways connect tented suites high among the trees. Elephants often wander below your room. Crossing into Botswana, you’ll spend your final nights in the wild at a riverside campsite along the Chobe River, watching elephants and hippos at sunset. This region feels alive — the pulse of Africa in every sound and ripple.

Days 17–18: Victoria Falls – The Smoke That Thunders

Your journey ends at The Victoria Falls Hotel, a grand colonial icon overlooking the gorge and the spray of the falls.
